Frequently Asked Questions

Requirements:

• Recommended: make sure you’re on the latest windows version
• Make sure your GPU Driver is up to date
• Disable Discord Overlay / Nvidia Overlay / Shadowplay / ReShade / Overwolf
• Uninstall Riva Tuner if you have it installed
• Uninstall FaceIT AC if you have it installed
• Don’t use a Custom OS
• Windows App Scaling = 100%

Disable Windows Defender

• Press Windows + I to open Windows Settings
• Click Update & Security -> Windows Security -> Virus & threat protection
• Locate the “Virus & threat protection settings” section and click Manage settings.
• Real-time protection > TURN OFF
• Cloud delivered protection > TURN OFF
• Automatic sample submission > TURN OFF
• Tamper protection > TURN OFF

WinRAR
Download WinRAR and install it

dControl

• Download the Setup Files below
• Unzip the downloaded .rar file (Password: 123)
• Unzip dControl.rar (Password: sordum)
• Run dControl.exe as Admin
• Click “Disable Windows Defender”

Prepare your System:

• Run our Auto Setup.exe as Admin and press “Auto Setup”
• Close unused background apps

Loader Setup

• Download both x64 and x86:
• https://aka.ms/vc14/vc_redist.x86.exe
• https://aka.ms/vc14/vc_redist.x64.exe
• Double click and install both of them [DO NOT run them as admin!]
• Download DirectX Runtimes
• Open the DirectX installer and install it
• Restart your PC before you continue

Prepare the Game

• Open Steam always as Admin
• Set your game to Borderless / Fullscreen Windowed
• Disable Frame Generation
• Disable Nvidia Reflex
• Don’t use any launch parameters (Right click the game -> properties)
• Close the Game

The Loader

• Visit: https://cheatsrv.cc/belltower
• Enter your license key
• Your client is generated specifically for you
• Extract the Loader with WinRAR onto your Desktop or subfolder
• Make sure the Loader is on the same Drive as your Game Installation
• Be sure you don’t have any game open
• Open the loader always as Administrator
• Enter your key
• Choose the Product
• Press Load
• Wait till the loader tells you to start your game
• Start the Game

Extra Info

• Menu Key = INSERT
• Panic Key = DELETE

If you still experience any type of issues, open a ticket in Discord.

• Those ingame settings are confirmed to fix the crash some people have,
  be sure to follow them, especially to disable NVIDIA Reflex and Frame Generation:

On top of that make sure you don’t use Frame Generation / Anti-Lag / Nvidia Reflex or similar in the Nvidia / AMD Control Panel

Troubleshooter

Most crashes (on Inject or Ingame) are fixed by doing the following:

• Run the AutoSetup.exe as Admin
• Click “Auto Setup” -> “Reboot”

Stuck on Starting Cheat Overlay or Failed to find Overlay DLL
Please confirm you have done the following steps:

• Core Isolation deactivated
• Uninstall antivirus completely
• Defender fully deactivated
• Steam is started as Admin
• Used the AutoSetup.exe and followed the full instructions
• DO NOT have Riva Tuner installed (RTSS)
• DO NOT have Faceit installed
• DO NOT have Overwolf started
• Disabled Nvidia and AMD overlay
• Disabled Discord overlay
• Disabled any other overlay

After a Cheat Update or if the menu / some feature isn’t working correctly
Do the following steps before reporting the issue

• Go to %appdata% and delete the “cfg” folder
• Use the AutoSetup.exe again
• Use the Troubleshoot.exe and press “delete folders”

Still Crashing or having other issues?

• Run the Troubleshoot Tool as Admin
• Make a Screenshot of the Overview Page
• Open a Ticket & Send it there together with your Issue

Download the troubleshooter tool from here.

• In Windows Search, type “view advanced system settings” and click on it.
• Go to Advanced tab, under Performance, click on Settings.
• Go to Advanced tab, under Virtual Memory, click on Change.
• Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”.
• Select your Windows drive (usually C:)
• Choose “Custom size” and set the “Initial size” and “Maximum size”.
• Set Initial Size to 1.5x your Total RAM and Maximum 2GB above that
• For example, if you have 16GB of RAM you set it to 24000 and 26000
• To a Maximum of 32000 and 34000!
• Higher than that is not needed
• Click “Set” and then “OK”.
• Afterwards restart your PC to apply
